These are genuine jacquard tapestries made into 45cm X 45cm cushion covers. The depth of colour and the feel of the material make them stand out from the many fakes that clutter the internet.
 
Made in Flanders in Belgium they are produced in a small factory using the Jacquard weaving process (using punched cards - an early form of computer control) to produce intricate designs on a weaving loom. Flanders is famous for these type of tapestry fabrics with a lot of the industry originally centred around Bruges.
 
Made from 85% cotton these cushion covers have a natural look and feel, superior to the polyester alternatives. Buy the genuine article, one that will last for years to come and might even become a family heirloom.
 
You can tell genuine intricate patterned jacquard material by looking on the reverse to see the reverse weave. (Some sample pics are included).
 
The cushion covers have a plain cotton material on the reverse and a zipper allows the cushion insert to easily fit. (Cushion insert not provided.)
